Dear Undecided:
I am so sorry for your loss.

this lady was working where i first went to work in 1955. she had a son my same age and was friends with my aunts.
she would fix me lunch everyday at home and bring it to work and we would eat together, along with one or two other workers there.
she wasn't ever a jw.

Dearest Blondie:
I am so sorry to hear about your illness. Thank you for posting that you are ill and in need of encouragement. Otherwise, we would have no way of knowing, and would be denied the joy of rendering you assistance. My email to you is probably already in your in box.

P.S. I just remembered something. I signed my email with my "real" name instead of my screen name. To identify me, look for the tag line: Religion is for those afraid of going to Hell. Spirituality is for those who have been there.
i would love to know if i have any old friends in this forum from my old area i used to live at, it was in the northern utah district, we had our district conventions at the dee events center at weber state university.
i used to be in a lot of dramas a long time ago, until i fell on my head and damaged my brain i lost a big chunk of it on my right frontal lobe and temporal tip, it left me quite fubar at times.
i had so many seizures during the meetings that the seizures were literally killing me, so i stopped going besides being embarrassed by them, i still read the magazines from time to time.. i do my own research sometimes, and yes i know they frown on reading anything that is not printed by them (weird).. oh and don't worry, i am not going to report you to elders for being in this fourm, i have no agenda i just a want a few friends.. .
I lived in SLC from '74 through '80, and and I attended conventions there every year.

my mom told me that the elders spent a lot of time in the service meeting expressing the need for donations.
they showed that area congregations were even remodeling their halls yet they weren't even covering needed expenses in their own hall for utilities!
within the same pep talk evening, they read a letter from the society thanking them for the congregation's $200 donation!
Yes, I used to be a very conscientious about donating. I made out three $50.00 checks monthly, one to our KH, one to the building or relief fund, and one to the World Wide Work. I wrote these checks right along with the rest of my "bills." I remember once, about 1992 or so, the Society sent out a letter asking for immediate donations for something; I remember there was a KH part specifically dedicated to the reading of a letter from the Society. That night, my husband and I wrote a $1000.00 check, and our congregation donated around $12,000 to that particular donation "drive."
I haven't donated for about a year now after discovering the UN and pedophile information on this and other websites. But, everyone else in my congregation seems to be donating as we average about $1000.00 each month in donations to the Society.

I sense new light coming for the UK...JWs need to better copy Jesus example of feeding/clothing the poor. After all, before he gave his Sermon on the Mount, didn't Jesus first care for the crowds physical needs?

how can a christian love their neighbor as themself, if they don't love themselves?
if a christian hates himself, how can he love his neighbor?
if a christian treats himself poorly, how can he treat his neighbor well?
i attended the honors fraternity meeting today, and evidently they are involved with casa.
this group works with foster kids.
has anyone else worked with this group?
I feel it is a very good program, and I love that they take training so seriously. The biggest problem I have seen develop has been that some CASA have become a little extreme on their judgements leading to untenable recommendations. There is no perfect parent or perfect foster parent.

two types of cancer in both her upper and lower jaws.
melanoma in the top jaw, squamous cell carcinoma in the lower.
both are bad cancers.
I'm sorry BB. We lost our 15 year old "baby" to cancer about three months ago. We lost his sister four years prior. Not a day has past since that I do not think about and grieve for my dogs.
Regards,

i'm about to pull my hair out with it.
i'm frustrated because i'm working my arse off with this class and still maybe will pass with a d. i've called the counselors, teachers and other students.
axia (my college branch from phoenix) will be changing it but not until after we complete this course.
I can empathize. I once had a calculus teacher who thought the assigned curriculum was too easy, so he assigned several math projects from a higher level class. These projects consumed enormous amounts of time, because they were beyond us as a class. He assigned a big project (that was worth many, many points), and made it due the day before the mid-term.
I worked to get the project done, and study for the mid-term, but there just wasn't enough time. I got a C- on the mid-term. Then, he assigned us another project, which no one, including the math lab, understood. I received a low grade on that also and ended up failing the class. My G.P.A. prior to that class was 3.94.
I had to retake the class.
